Alchemist

Name: Elliott Magnus Aelith

Appearance: Flat, messy blond hair. Fair skinned. Blood red eyes. Has a gold earring, square in shape, on each ear. Average skinny build, but fairly tall for a human. Wears a white knee-length jacket over a black shirt and black trousers. Sports a white ascot.

History: A boy born to an average family of farmers. As a child, Elliott has always been interested in alchemy, and often spent long hours in the library poring over books concerning said subject. When he was old enough, Elliott was recognized as an able alchemist, and sent to the big city for a formal education.

As he grew older and learned more about alchemy, Elliott began to feel suppressed and secretly researched dangerous chemicals and transmutation circles, eventually becoming able to create dangerous potions and summon the five elements for combat use via transmutation circles. To make money for his research, Elliott sold his more dangerous concoctions on the black market, eventually earning him the name of ‘Brewer of Death’.

When Elliott’s teachers came to know of this, they expelled him from the school, and labelled him as a criminal. By this time, Elliott has amassed enough gold to live comfortably and fund his research. Elliott leaves the city and heads for the capital- presumably where he continues to experiment with deadly potions and sell them off for high prices.

Personality: Elliott is arrogant and does not respect others unless they give him a good reason to. He is also manipulative and charming, being able to charm and trick others into buying his wares. He has no qualms about resorting to petty methods as long as his goal is accomplished with little regards to others. While Elliott has no problem socializing, he knows that his line of work is unrespectable and full of deceit- so he avoids getting attached to others in fear that they will leave- or worse, betray him.

On the positive side, Elliott is willing to share his knowledge with others as long as they treat him with respect, and those who earns his respect and adoration will have a loyal ally on their side, and he will be willing to aid them in their times of need.

Weakness: Anything that kills a human can kill him, and that includes his experiments exploding in his face.

Other than that, Elliott is not very strong physically, and his time spent researching indoors has made him quite sensitive against strong weather. He is likely to get ill from standing in the rain, or faint from being out there in the hot sun for long periods of time.

Weapons: His various vials of potions. A few examples in his stash of potions would be strong acids, disease-inducing mixtures, freezing or burning liquids and poisons that release noxious gases. He usually just throws to entire vial at his foe. If the vial doesn’t break, spilling the contents, then Elliott’s opponent can just pick up the vial and throw it back at him. The safer way would be to unscrew it, then pour the contents- but removing a cover would be quite unpractical in actual combat.

As an extra precautionary measure, Elliott keeps a short dagger in his boot, under his trousers.

Abilities: Mediocre hand-to-hand combat. Learning how to protect yourself is a requisite in the underworld markets. Elliott’s fighting is clumsy and unrefined, mostly relying on luck to hit his foe. When equipped with the dagger, Elliott is considerably more threatening, but he lacks the physical strength to be able to actually push the blade through bone in one stab.

When given ample time to prepare, Elliott can draw alchemy circles on various surfaces to call forth the five elements to aid him during combat. It works like elemental magic. The more detailed the alchemy circle, the more complicated the form of an element Elliott can summon.
